Investment Promotion Handbook for Diplomats

This handbook is aimed at diplomats on both UAH and UMBS forums who are new to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI). Most commonly, FDI takes place when companies set up and expand affiliates or acquire firms in foreign markets. Most governments promote and facilitate inward FDI as it can be a major source of capital, employment, skills, technology and revenue. As part of these efforts, countries have set up investment promotion agencies (IPAs) on both the national and subnational levels. http://www.unctad.org/en/docs/diaepcb2011d2_en.pdf
